PURPOSE
The Lambda Heritage Endowment Fund was established in recognition of the centennial anniversary of Lambda Chapter of Alpha Kappa Alpha Sorority Incorporated which was chartered on April 22, 1922.

PURPOSE
Former Lambda members created the Lambda Heritage Endowment Fund to provide financial support in perpetuity to deserving active Lambda members, or undergraduates attending colleges in Manhattan, New York, the community Lambda Chapter serves.

† Funds are awarded yearly as follows: A minimum of one (1) award to
- An active member of Lambda Chapter of Alpha Kappa Alpha Sorority Incorporated to be used for academic expenses associated with attending a four-year non-profit, accredited college or university OR to attend sorority development activities.
- Alternatively, when no Lambda Cha
† Funds are awarded yearly as follows: A minimum of one (1) award to
- An active member of Lambda Chapter of Alpha Kappa Alpha Sorority Incorporated to be used for academic expenses associated with attending a four-year non-profit, accredited college or university OR to attend sorority development activities.
- Alternatively, when no Lambda Chapter member is eligible for the award, to give a minimum of one (1) award to an active undergraduate member of AKA for academic expenses associated with attending a Manhattan, NY four-year non-profit, accredited college or university OR
- Secondarily, to an undergraduate student for academic expenses associated with attending a Manhattan, NY four-year non-profit, accredited college or university.
